Bridal Makeup Artist in London & Surrey

Bridal makeup By Verity at Syon House

Bespoke wedding makeup that enhances your natural beauty

After 20+ years creating bridal makeup looks across London and the Home Counties, I've developed a service that's calm, collaborative, and completely tailored to you. No two brides leave my chair with the same look — and that's the point.

Every wedding makeup design starts with understanding three things: your features, your dress, and the vibe of your day. From there, I use premium products from Laura Mercier, NARS, Charlotte Tilbury, and MAC (where I spent over a decade as a senior artist) to build a look that photographs beautifully and lasts from morning ceremony to last dance.

Whether you want barely-there natural, soft glam, or a full bridal smokey eye, the goal is always the same: you should look like the most radiant version of yourself — never someone else.

Securing Your Date

The best way to book in with me is to send an email to info@veritymakeup.com or by filling in Contact form you can also contact me via text on 07968 498 353 and I will be able to respond within 48 hours. To secure your wedding date and book me for your wedding makeup a non refundable deposit of a minimum of £200 is required and payable by bank transfer. Your wedding date is not secured until the deposit has been received and cleared. This deposit must be paid prior to your makeup trial appointment.

Please note that I often receive multiple inquiries for popular wedding dates, particularly during peak wedding season (May through September). To avoid disappointment, I recommend securing your booking as early as possible.

The deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances. Should you decide not to proceed with the booking after your trial, or if you need to cancel for any reason, the deposit will be retained to cover the time and date that has been reserved for you

Your bridal makeup trial

The trial is where your wedding day look is designed and finalised. I'll come to your home (or another location of your choice) and we'll spend up to 90 minutes working through colours, products, and finish until you're completely happy.

I apply a full face of makeup so you can see exactly how you'll look on the day. We then tweak together until it's right. Every product is recorded and the final look photographed, so the wedding day application is a precise repeat of what we agreed.

What to bring to your trial:

  • A few reference images that capture the kind of look you're drawn to

  • A photo of your dress (or the dress style, if it hasn't arrived yet)

  • Any hair accessories or veil you plan to wear

  • Skincare you currently use — so we can plan around your skin's behaviour

  • An open mind — sometimes the look that suits you isn't the one you arrived expecting

On your wedding day

On the morning of your wedding, I'll arrive at your getting-ready location fully prepared and on schedule. We'll have agreed a precise timeline in advance, so the morning runs smoothly for you and the whole bridal party.

Typically, I'll apply the bridal party's makeup first (around 45 minutes each), then complete your bridal makeup last — usually around 60 minutes. That way, all you have to do is step into your dress, have a glass of champagne, and walk out feeling extraordinary.

For larger parties or tight schedules, I bring in trusted artists from my team. Every artist I work with has been personally selected for their skill and their alignment with my approach.

Here are just some of the amazing things my clients had to say about working with me

Verity is exceptional and talented make up artist with a wonderful approach to clients. I had the pleasure to work along her side and she was always professional yet very friendly and down to earth at the same time. I can’t recommend Verity highly enough. Her makeup is just wonderful! Jay Kowalik London Based Wedding Photographer.

I’m so glad I found Verity to do my wedding makeup, she is so friendly, she made me feel at ease, she is very professional, was always on time and responsive. She listened to what I wanted and gave me the look I was thinking - natural, simple with a touch of glam! I would definitely recommend Verity for Bridal makeup as she is incredible to work with. Zeenah N Graphic Designer

Verity did my make up for my wedding and she did such a great job! I loved my make up and it lasted all day and night, even with the gale-force winds of a blustery October day. Verity is also a lovely person and really easy to talk to. She was a fun and calming presence on the morning of the wedding, my bridesmaids loved her and they loved their make up too! Would highly recommend! Thank you for everything, Verity - you're a real talent. Katie Gill

Verity did my wedding make up a few years ago and it was one of the best decisions I ever made for my big day! It was absolutely perfect - not too much, perfect mix of natural but great coverage and literally lasted the whole night. I have pictures at the end of the night and the make up is exactly same as moments after she had applied it. She’s also so lovely to have around on the day, she’s kind, attentive, listens to what you want and completely professional. I couldn’t recommend her more. I now go to her for all my big occasions and recommend her to everyone I know. Thanks so much Verity. You’re the BEST ! Sarah Iskarous

Frequently Asked Questions

‍ ‍Everything you need to know about booking makeup, trials, payments, and what to expect on the day.

BOOKING

How do I book a makeup service with Verity?

‍ The easiest way to get in touch is by emailing info@veritymakeup.com or by filling in the Contact form on the website. Please give as much detail as possible — the more information you can share upfront, the quicker I can get back to you with availability and a quote.

What information do you need when making a booking?

To get everything set up smoothly, it really helps to have the following:

‍ Your name (or the name of the person the booking is for)

The date of the makeup service

The time you need to be ready — I’ll work out the timings from there

‍The name and address of where you’ll be getting ready

How many people would like their makeup done

‍Any details about the look or style you have in mind

How do I secure my booking?

Your booking is confirmed once a non-refundable deposit has been paid in full, starting at £150 depending on your bridal party size. This must be paid before the trial. For shoot or TV work, please use the Contact form to get in touch directly you can also email me on info@veritymakeup.com.

How do I make a payment?

Payments are made by bank transfer. The trial payment is due before your appointment, and the remaining balance for your wedding day must be received in full at least 14 days before the date.

THE TRIAL

When should I book my makeup trial?

You can book your trial as soon as you’d like — I’d suggest waiting until you have a good idea of your dress and overall look. A good guide is between 3 and 6 months before your wedding, which gives us plenty of time to refine things if needed.

How long does a makeup trial normally last?

Trials typically take up to 90 minutes, and I’ll stay until you’re completely happy with your look, up to a maximum of two hours. If you’d like to change direction or try something different, a second trial can be arranged at the same cost as the first, provided it’s within the same package.

PRODUCTS & STYLE

What makeup products do you use?

I’m not affiliated with any single brand — my kit is always evolving as new products come onto the market. Some of my long-standing staples include Laura Mercier, NARS, Milk Makeup and Tarte, chosen for their quality, longevity, and performance on camera.

What is your makeup style?

My style is all about beautifully blended, seamless makeup that feels as good as it looks. I love working with the latest techniques and trends, but I never apply them in a one-size-fits-all way. Every look I create is tailored entirely to you — your features, your colouring, and your vision for your wedding day. The result is always polished and intentional, never heavy or mask-like.

Can you do any look I have in mind?

Absolutely any look! While I'm known for creating glowing, natural bridal makeup, I'm just as at home crafting a full glamorous smokey eye, a classic red lip, or bold, editorial-inspired looks. My training at the London College of Fashion and over a decade working at MAC Cosmetics means I have the technical range to deliver whatever you're envisioning. I love working with brides who have a strong idea of what they want — and equally those who aren't sure yet, as we'll figure it out together at your trial.

What does "beautifully blended" actually mean in practice?

It means there are no visible makeup lines, no harsh edges, and no obvious "makeup" — just a flawless, seamless finish. Whether I'm blending out a smokey eye or diffusing a sunset blush across the cheeks, every element is worked until it looks like a natural part of you. This approach photographs beautifully and looks even better in real life.

Will my makeup last all day?

Absolutely — longevity is something I take seriously, because the last thing you want on your wedding day is to be worrying about touch-ups. Everything I do is built to last, from the very first step.

It all starts with thorough skin preparation. Properly primed, hydrated skin is the foundation of makeup that stays put, so I never skip this stage. I then use carefully selected, professional-grade products from brands like , NARS, and Laura Mercier that are specifically chosen for their staying power and performance under pressure — whether that's heat, emotion, or dancing until midnight.

My techniques are also designed with longevity in mind. Layering products in the right order, setting at the right moments, and using the right finishing sprays all make a significant difference to how your makeup wears throughout the day and into the evening.

Your trial is also a brilliant opportunity to road-test your look in real life — you'll be able to see exactly how it wears over time and we can make any adjustments before the big day. I'll also make a note of every product used so the wedding day application is a precise, perfected repeat.

In my experience, most brides are amazed by how well everything holds up from morning ceremony to last dance.

Yes — travel and accommodation costs are additional. I’m based in Leatherhead Surrey (KT22) and charge 50p per mile, or the equivalent cost of a taxi or public transport, whichever applies to the journey.
