In a private lesson, the entire session is built around you — your features, your skin tone, your colouring, and the look you want to learn. We work on one side of your face together; you complete the other side so I can guide you through every step. By the end, you'll have a full look you can confidently recreate at home.

Group makeup masterclasses

Before the session, the lead client and I agree the focus (a specific look, a focus area, or a bridal-party look). A week before, I'll send a product and tool list so everyone is prepared. On the day, I demonstrate step by step on one person (or on myself for virtual) while the group follows along on their own faces.

A group masterclass is a relaxed, social way to learn — perfect for hen parties, birthdays, Christmas gatherings, or just a group of friends who want to improve their makeup together. Minimum 3 people, maximum 10.

Virtual Group Masterclass:

Gather your friends online for a relaxed group session via Zoom. Great for groups spread across cities or countries. Lead client receives the product list a week in advance.

In-Person Group Masterclass:

Price: From £300 | Duration: 60–90 mins

How a lesson works

Step 3 — The lesson itself

In person or virtual, the format is the same: I demonstrate, you follow, we adjust together. You'll leave with a finished look and the confidence to recreate it. For private lessons, I send you a written summary of products and techniques used.

Step 2 — Prepare for your lesson

A week before, you'll receive a list of products and tools we'll use, so you can pick up anything missing. For group lessons, I send the list to the lead client to share with the group

Frequently asked questions

 Do I need to be good at makeup already?

Not at all. Lessons are designed for every level, from complete beginners who've never worn makeup to people who've been using it for years and want to update their approach. Tell me your starting point at enquiry stage and I'll tailor the lesson accordingly.

What's the difference between a private lesson and a masterclass?

A private lesson is one-to-one and entirely tailored to your features, skin tone, and goals. A masterclass is a group format (3–10 people) where everyone learns the same look or technique. Private lessons are better for personalised learning; masterclasses are better for groups, gifts, and social events.

Can I have a lesson at my home?

Yes. Private lessons can be held at your home anywhere in London or surrounding counties. A travel charge of 55p per mile or equivalent transport cost applies. Virtual lessons via Zoom are available worldwide.

What products will I need?

For private lessons, we'll use a mix of your existing makeup and any of my professional products to test new techniques. For group masterclasses, you'll receive a recommended product list a week before the session.

How do I book?

Get in touch via the contact form or email info@veritymakeup.com with the type of lesson you'd like, your preferred date and time, and any questions. I'll come back with availability within 24 hours and a deposit secures your booking

What's your cancellation policy?

Deposits are non-refundable but lessons can be rescheduled with at least 7 days' notice. Less than 7 days' notice forfeits the deposit. Full payment is due a week before the lesson by bank transfer.
